Elizabeth Allemand & Anthony Velasquez, October 3, 2009

Elizabeth and Anthony are both retail managers in the area have lived in the New Orleans all of their lives. They were high school sweethearts who have been together for over eleven years. He finally popped the question the day before Elizabeth's birthday in July of '08. When Anthony went to her parents to ask for Elizabeth's hand in marriage the dad's response was "It's about time!"

Elizabeth says:
"We've been hearing that same phrase ever since and can't wait to finally get married at a place that has such a unique connection to New Orleans culture. It's really important to us to have a ceremony and reception with only our closest friends and family and incorporate touches of our cultures. Anthony's family is from Guatemala and has many family members flying in town for the event. My my mom grew up uptown and my dad is Cajun and still speaks French"
