Amanda Richard and Steven Adjmi, Wedding & Reception, Saturday, April 4, 2009
Our Beaux Arts pavilion in the front garden served as the chuppah for the wedding ceremony of Amanda Richard and Steven Adjmi, both of New Orleans, on Saturday, April 3, 2009, just after sundown. Rabbi Edward P. Cohn of Temple Sinai was the celebrant. About 300 family and guests attended.
The accenting color was white; with white roses, hydrangeas, peonies, tulips and orchids adorning our dining room, fountains and pavilion, and serving as table centerpieces for dining on the lawn at the rear. Decorator Louise Heebe (oherbe@cox.net) and her crew worked throughout the day to set the scene, which was further defined by two groups of tents installed by Paul Fortier, The Tent Man http://www.tentmantents.com and tables, chairs and linens furnished by Perrier Party Rentals perrierpartyrentals.com
Patti Constantin of Patti Constantin Designs in Catering (ppcpe@cox.net) designed the lay out, and provided an extensive and delectable menu featuring a seafood table with ice sculptures, hot stations, a vegetarian and Mediterranean table and numerous hot and cold hors d'oeuvres that were passed throughout the evening - all to the delight of everyone. Even a sushi table from Kyoto Japanese Restaurant was included. For those not content to wait for wedding cake, Patti's crew made Bananas Foster, too.
New Orleans favorite Deacon John Moore, and his "Deacon John and the Ivories," (deaconjohnmoore@yahoo.com) provided the musical accompaniment. both to the ceremony and the reception.
The six-tiered wedding cake was created by Flour Power http://flourpowernola.com and set in the gazebo.
Caroline Korybut of Caroline Korybut Photography of St. Louis served as the official wedding photographer. Caroline is the photographer of choice for the retail establishments owned by Steven and his family.
Milton Rajo and Toby Armstrong http://creativehotlist.com/t_armstrong2 recorded the evet on video.
